SuperStroller - Italian Radical
Italian radical design was an anti-design movement that was against dominant modernism design in 20th century that emphasized “form follows function”, simplicity and functionality. They were critical about modern design and modern consumerism culture. As a result, their designs were full of playfulness, featured vibrant color and interesting and weird lines and shapes.
The design of the stroller looks like a shopping cart, which is critical of modern consumerism culture. Kids like our generation were born and raised in a consumerism world and we are so used to it. People nowadays are so busy adding new items in their shopping cart, either an actual one or virtual one. It seems like our desire for consumption would be growing with the development of technology and economy.
This typeface design is inspired by parallel lines, tape, and ribbon.
